Event Exeter Winners in Business Tourism Award

Event Exeter is delighted to be shortlisted as one of the winners of the Business Tourism South West Tourism Excellence awards.
The awards celebrate the ‘best in the South West' and aim to promote and reward the leading businesses in the tourism industry.
Event Exeter have already demonstrated to the judges high standards when it comes to customer service, sustainability, recycling, the environment and being accessible to all.
Sarah Snow Head of Event Exeter commented;
"We excitedly await the award ceremony on the 23rd November when we will find out whether we have won Gold or Silver. If Event Exeter wins Gold we will be put forward for Visit England's, National Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2010.
Event Exeter was launched earlier this year to represent the University of Exeter's portfolio of venues. The name Event Exeter was chosen to represent the University's commitment to selling Exeter as a first class destination for business tourism.
Key business areas for Event Exeter include conferences, concerts, group travel, and short break holidays, as well as wedding receptions and parties, so quite a diverse business mix! Income raised through these trading areas supports university activities.
We have worked hard during the last 12 months to raise awareness of the brand. Achieving such high recognition during the brand's infancy is testament to the team's success and hard work. I am delighted as this award firmly puts Event Exeter at the forefront of business excellence in the region."
